Taking photographs of people at night under white and red spotlights isn't easy, and we thank John Crequer for trying anyway.

Dance: Karagouna, Greece.

The costumes are all from the Balkans, and would have been Sunday's best in previous centuries. One of them is a 21st-century Western European though, and no prize for guessing which.
